Intercultural aspects of Web Design: approaches to Culture-Centred Design
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper addresses culturally rooted factors within web design and how their theoretical study must affect the design process. We describe and relate theories that have developed over a period of 20 years, traceable in the published literature. We follow the links that connect them in the study of cultural and cognitive aspects in web design and how they finally converge in practical recommendations for designers, providing an original point of view combining academic research on categorization of culture elements and suggestions for designers stemming from user experience models applied to web sites.
